Welcome to Rock on Wall's website - The cult of vinyl records

Books

RECORDS & LITERATURE

Vinyl records have brought so many great artworks to the history of graphic design that it is quite normal to find them gathered in richly illustrated books. Sorted by music genre (rock, prog rock, rock, blues, new wave, reggae …) or with more eccentric criteria (records and comic strips, “sleevefaces”, crazy collectors), these books can turn your passion into a real scavenger hunt !

DUST & GROOVE

The book from the Dust & Grooves blog by the excellent New York photographer Eilon Paz is undoubtedly the most beautiful ever printed on the subject, and must be included in any vinyl lover’s library.

CD TOO

Finding a book about the design of CDs could be a surprise on a website entirely devoted to vinyl records. But how can we not pay tribute to the artists who have expressed themselves with such talent despite the constraints of the format, and to the author for his brilliant work of investigation?
